E&E has been awarded a Contract for consulting and design services related to the project of transmission line 2 x 330kV Qua Iboe Terminal (QIT) – Ikot Abasi (60km), in the south east Nigeria, in Akwa Ibom State.
Overall project, officially titled as NNPC/MPN JV Power Project (JVPP), comprises construction of a gas power plant, with rated output of 452MW and corresponding substation and transmission line. The power plant will be connected to the national power transmission network via the subject OHL 330kV.
The project is financed by joint venture between ExxonMobil and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and E&E is a subcontractor of German consulting companies ILF and intec GOPA. The anticipated date for commissioning the power plant into service is the beginning of 2013.
E&E team of experts consists of electrical civil end geodesy engineers. The team will work with the teams of partner companies in the project office in Lagos.
