Consultancy services to Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL) – Design validation for the construction of 35kV OHL Shuakhevi-Skhalta (Georgia)

We signed a new contract with Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL) for design validation services related to construction of new 35kV OHL Shuakhevi-Skhalta in Georgia.

To quote the web page of AGL (www.agl.com.ge), our Client is the special purpose vehicle set up to develop the hydropower resources on the Adjaristsqali River and its tributaries, in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, in South Western Georgia. AGL is a joint venture between India’s Tata Power and Norway’s Clean Energy Invest and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group.

In 2014, we already assisted Georgian Electrosystem JCS to develop tender documents for construction of 220kV OHL Akhaltsikhe – Batumi, being the line to connect new Hydro Power Plants developed by AGL to the transmission network of Georgia. Now, we cooperate directly with AGL on the new project.

The subject single circuit high voltage line is approximately 24km long and is aimed for evacuation of power from Skhalta hydro power project.

E&E as the Consultant shall provide following consulting services to validate the design of 35kV transmission line in line with PUE/GOST standards. The design comprises electrical, civil and telecommunication parts, including design for construction.
